Hi! My name is Natalie Garcia Zepeda, and I am an Oregon-based artist with a BA in Indigenous, Race, and Ethnic Studies with a minor in Comic Studies.

I have three years of professional experience with creating, printing, and publishing comics, as well as general experience with exhibition prep and other art disciplines. I just finished illustrating my new comic, Captain and Blue, and am looking for more freelance work. 

I grew up in a rural, small town in Southern Oregon, where I fell in love with comics and storytelling. It was through comics that I could see myself and imagine a future where I belonged. In my work, I carry the same passion to create comics that uplift underrepresented stories and experiences. I love non-fiction and autobiography, but I have a special spot in my heart for everything whimsical and everything coastal gothic. 

While creating art is my primary passion, I love rockhounding along the Oregon coast, drinking tea, and spending time with my cat.
